Hurricanes, tornadoes, droughts, higher temperatures
— do recent extremes make you wonder about the
future of weather? Join the Mensa Foundation and
members from around the world in Atlanta, North
America’s unofficial headquarters for weather watching.
We will be examining
the past, present
and possible
futures of climate change.
We will spend a weekend with leading researchers
and industry experts including:

Dr. Heidi Cullen
- Dr. Noah S. Diffenbaugh, Department of Earth &
Atmospheric Sciences, Purdue University
- Dr. James Hansen of NASA's Goddard Institute of Space Studies
- Greg Holland, National Center for Atmospheric Research
- Dr. Kenneth E. Kunkel, Executive Director, Division of
Atmospheric Sciences, Desert Research Institute
- Joshua Wurman, Center for Severe Weather Research
Program topics will include:

- The Threat to the Planet: Dark and bright sides of global warming
- Running the Wrong Way: Mobile radar observations
of tornadoes and hurricanes
- Hurricane Response to Climate Fluctuations and Trends: Where we are and where we hope to go
- Seeing Climate, Seeing Change
- Winter Storms: A Look at the Past and a Glimpse into the Future
